Everyone makes excuses in life, including me. Excuses are the easiest thing to do, and they really ease the pain. They sound the best to us and make our problems disappear. However, excuses are a poor way to put something off until the future or not do it at all.
When I started a blog in 2007, I should have kept it going, but I kept telling myself I’d do it later. One day, I finally realized I said it for 16 years. I didn’t get into a blogging routine until 2023. Now I regret it. I would have had a wonderful log of my life and my decisions. But also, I would have had a ton of readers by now in 2024.
Excuses are so easy to make. That is why we do it. However, time goes by so fast that. We can’t afford to make any. If you get into the habit of making excuses, you will start making them unconsciously, and then you will be in trouble. Life will pass you by, and you will have a reason for not doing anything.
People grow up seeing people making excuses around them, and they get into the habit automatically. Or they say it’s okay to do it once In a while, and it starts happening more often. Even worse, they don’t spend the time doing research and analyzing information to see if things are possible, and they make excuses out of ignorance.
Instead, you should focus on never making excuses like a machine. You should also set some time aside once a week or once a month, see the parts of your life you mistakenly made excuses for, and focus on fixing them.
Write your excuses down, keep track, see a professional, and do whatever it takes not to make excuses, and I promise you. You will have anything you want in life because you will find a way to get what you want.
Now that I blog regularly, I feel better about myself and find life is more enjoyable. Something happens inside you when you choose the hard way instead of the easy way out with excuses. So stop now, no more excuses, and go after what you seek in life.
