Growing up, I was a mama’s boy. I did not know it then, but it affected my life negatively. I unknowingly let my mother make all the significant decisions in my life. By going to her with every major life issue. Then when my life didn’t turn out the way I wanted it to. I blamed my mother, and it created a distance between us.

How can you tell?

The easiest way to determine if you are a mama’s boy is to consider whether you go to your mama with all your life problems. If you do, then you are too close to your mama. If by your twenties, you still live at home when you are a mama’s boy.

What to do?

Stop doing it! Your relationships with other women will improve, and you might find good women genuinely interested in you. It affects you in a very negative way. Other women can tell your a mama’s boy, and you will never find a good woman.

But you love your mama!

There is nothing wrong with loving your mama, but there is something wrong with putting your mama ahead of your girlfriend or, even worse, wife. Your mama loves you very much and wants the best for you. However, There is nothing wrong with moving out and starting a life with her dictating your every move. It’s called being a grown-up!
